Fire Safety Tips
Decorative fire screens look good, but a thin-mesh fire screen is better.
Why?
Thin-meshed fire screens have better spark stopping capabilities than a more open, decorative screen. And don't leave magazines or anything combustible on your hearth while fire is burning in the fireplace. Even without direct contact with sparks, the temperature of a fire can ignite paper or other combustibles close to the fire such as pillows, furry toys, and the like.
